Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Electrician with experience in control panel wiring, instrumentation, and electrical installation for pharmaceutical process equipment. The candidate should have hands-on experience in PLC control panels, field instrumentation, and commissioning activities while ensuring compliance with GMP and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Control Panel Wiring
- Perform control panel wiring for PLC, HMI, SCADA, and automation panels.
- Read, interpret, and execute wiring as per electrical schematics, loop diagrams, and GA drawings.
- Carry out proper termination of power, control, and signal cables.
- Verify panel wiring compliance with approved drawings and project specifications.
- Ensure neat wiring practices, ferruling, cable dressing, and labeling.
Instrumentation & Field Wiring
- Install and wire field instruments, including:
- Pressure Transmitters
- Temperature Transmitters
- Flow Transmitters
- Level Transmitters
- Control Valves
- Solenoid Valves
- Pneumatic Actuators
- Process Analyzers
- Perform loop checking, continuity testing, and point-to-point verification.
- Assist in instrument calibration, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
Commissioning & Testing
- Support electrical commissioning and equipment start-up activities.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical and instrumentation faults.
- Coordinate with Automation Engineers during PLC and HMI testing.
- Ensure successful FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test).
Pharma Compliance & Documentation
- Follow GMP, GAMP, and all applicable electrical safety standards.
- Ensure proper cable routing, tagging, ferruling, and identification as per pharmaceutical documentation requirements.
- Support documentation for FAT, SAT, IQ, and OQ activities.
- Maintain quality and safety standards during installation and commissioning.
Coordination
- Work closely with Automation Engineers, QA, Validation, and Production teams.
- Ensure timely completion of electrical activities in line with project schedules.
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience in PLC control panel wiring.
- Knowledge of electrical drawings, loop diagrams, and wiring schematics.
- Experience in pharmaceutical process equipment and instrumentation.
- Familiarity with field instruments, sensors, valves, and actuators.
- Knowledge of electrical testing tools such as multimeters and insulation testers.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel for site installation and commissioning, if required.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in pharmaceutical equipment manufacturing.
- Exposure to FAT, SAT, IQ, and OQ documentation.
- Knowledge of PLC-based automation systems and industrial instrumentation.
