About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Java API Kafka Developer to join our client's engineering team in Gurugram. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java backend development, REST API development, Apache Kafka, and Microservices architecture. You will work on enterprise-scale applications, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and build highly scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java-based backend applications.
- Develop and enhance RESTful APIs for enterprise applications.
- Build and maintain Microservices using Spring Boot and Spring MVC.
- Implement event-driven architecture using Apache Kafka.
- Develop secure APIs using Spring Security and OAuth.
- Work with MongoDB and SQL databases for efficient data management.
- Containerize applications using Docker and deploy using Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure coding best practices.
- Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.
- Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
Required Skills
- 6–10 years of experience in Java backend development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java.
- Expertise in REST API Development.
- Strong experience with Apache Kafka.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Security.
- Good understanding of Microservices Architecture.
- Experience with MongoDB and SQL databases.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Git, Maven or Gradle.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills
- Insurance domain experience.
- Experience with OAuth and API Security.
- Knowledge of Swagger/OpenAPI documentation.
- Experience developing enterprise-scale applications.
Eligibility
- Immediate joiners or candidates serving a notice period of up to 10 days will be preferred.
- Candidates based in the NCR region are preferred due to the hybrid work model.
