About the Role
This is an entry-level to early-career role designed for professionals interested in information security, compliance, and risk management. The Information Security & Compliance Analyst I will support the day-to-day execution of HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001, HITRUST, and NIST-aligned compliance programs, working with cross-functional teams and under guidance from senior members where required.
This role provides exposure to compliance operations across regulated industries such as healthcare, financial services, legal, aerospace, and other data-sensitive sectors, helping build a strong foundation in global compliance and risk management.
Job Description
- 1–3 years hands-on experience or exposure to HIPAA / SOC2 / ISO 9000 / ISO 27000 / HITRUST / NIST frameworks
- Good audit / compliance check skills and ability to unearth key gaps
- Basic understanding of audit processes, compliance checks, and gap identification
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Ability to connect with various groups within an organization and ensure process compliance
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Ability to identify, document, and escalate risks
- Exposure to Healthcare and regulated industries is an added advantage
Roles & Responsibilities
- Ensure information security compliance to HIPAA, SOC2, HITRUST, NIST policies and procedures
- Conduct periodic audits and report key gaps/risks
- Track audit findings and ensure timely closure
- Support external audits, client assessments, and due diligence
- Update policies, SOPs, and procedures
- Liaise with IT, HR, Development, Operations, and other teams
- Maintain compliance documentation and audit evidence
- Conduct/support training and awareness programs
- Provide reports, dashboards, and status updates to management
Qualification
Educational Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Security, Business Administration, or a related field
Certifications Preferred (Not Mandatory):
- ISO 27001 Foundation / Internal Auditor
- HITRUST or NIST-related certifications
- HIPAA / SOC2 certifications
