Your job:
Support the development of Driver Blocks for Siemens PCS7 systems under the guidance of a Senior Developer following the foureyes principle
Provide technical support for PCS7 systems by addressing customer and internal technical inquiries
Create, revise, and format technical documentation and application notes for FESTO products throughout the development lifecycle
Maintain Wikis, documentation repositories, and import trackers in CodeBeamer ensuring compliance with project specifications
Collaborate with responsible internal departments to ensure technical and project alignment
Support continuous improvement of development processes, documentation quality, and knowledge sharing
Your qualification:
Completed degree in Mechatronics, Information Technology, or a related field
2 – 3 years of experience in automation, control systems, or a related engineering role
Familiarity with DCS and PLC programming, Siemens PCS7, IEC 61131-3 programming languages, industrial fieldbus protocols such as PROFINET and PROFIBUS, XML coding, and device description languages
Proficient written and spoken English communication skills
Proficiency with development and documentation tools including VS Code, Python as an asset, and structured technical documentation practices
