Autism Center of Excellence is a growing organization working in the US healthcare (ABA services) space, focused on delivering high-quality care solutions and building strong operational support systems for our US-based workforce.
We are currently looking for an experienced US HR Specialist to manage end-to-end HR operations, payroll, onboarding, and compliance for our US employees and contractors.
Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced US HR Specialist responsible for managing US payroll processing, onboarding/offboarding, benefits administration, and HR compliance.
The ideal candidate should have prior experience supporting US-based employees and should be able to independently handle multi-state payroll and HR operations.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Management
- Process bi-weekly payroll for US-based W-2 employees and 1099 contractors accurately and on time
- Manage payroll inputs, corrections, and final approvals
- Prepare, review, and reconcile payroll reports and tax-related documentation
- Ensure compliance with US federal and state payroll regulations
Onboarding & Offboarding
- Manage end-to-end onboarding process including W-4, I-9, direct deposit forms, and other new-hire documentation
- Conduct smooth onboarding and offboarding of US employees and contractors
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
HR Operations & Compliance
- Maintain HRIS and payroll records with high accuracy
- Ensure compliance with US labor laws and multi-state employment regulations
- Support HR audits and compliance reviews
- Assist in HR policy updates and internal communication processes
Benefits Administration
- Administer employee benefits including medical, dental, vision, PTO, and 401(k) plans
- Coordinate with vendors and employees regarding benefits-related queries
Reporting & Support
- Generate HR and payroll metrics for leadership
- Support performance management cycles
- Assist in internal audits and compliance reporting
Requirements
- Minimum 1*-3+ years of experience* in US HR Payroll / HR Operations (Mandatory)
- Strong understanding of US payroll, W-2 & 1099 classification, and multi-state tax laws
- Hands-on experience with Gusto Payroll or similar payroll systems
- Strong knowledge of HR compliance and onboarding processes
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, Excel, and HRIS tools
- Ability to work in US Night Shift (EST hours)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare, billing, or IT/service-based industries
- Prior experience in benefits administration (401k, insurance plans, PTO systems)
- Experience supporting US-based organizations independently

- Shift Timing: 6:00 PM – 3:30 AM (US Night Shift / EST Support)
- Working Days: 5 Days (Saturday & Sunday Fixed Off)

This is an on-site role based in Sector 74, Mohali, Punjab with a night shift (6:00 PM to 3:30 AM) aligned with US working hours.

- We do NOT provide cab or meal facilities
- Candidates must have their own transportation or arrange their own travel to and from the office
- Your commitment to night shift working hours is essential
