A senior nursing or technical professional responsible for managing the daily operations of surgical suites. They oversee staff, manage equipment inventory, maintain sterile environments (NABH standards), and coordinate with surgeons and anesthetists to ensure safe, efficient patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Management: Scheduling surgeries, coordinating with surgical teams, and preparing the OT for cases.
- Staff Supervision: Managing scheduling for nurses, technicians, and support staff, and providing training.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensuring strict adherence to infection control protocols,, NABH standards, and radiation safety.
- Inventory Control: Maintaining and procuring sterile supplies, instruments, and equipment.
- Patient Care: Managing preoperative and postoperative care in the recovery room. HealthWorld Hospital.
