Key Responsibilities
- Machine Setup & Operation: Safely load/unload raw materials and calibrate machine focal points and gas pressures per job specifications. [1]
- Programming & Optimization: Select or adjust cutting parameters and load programs (e.g., DXF files, CAD/CAM outputs) to maximize material utilization and minimize scrap. [1, 2, 3]
- Quality Control: Inspect cut parts against engineering blueprints using precise measuring tools (e.g., Vernier calipers, micrometers) and ensure proper edge quality. [1]
- Maintenance: Perform routine preventive maintenance, clean machine optics/nozzles, and troubleshoot basic equipment errors. [1, 2]
- Safety & Compliance: Wear required PPE, adhere to workplace safety protocols, and maintain a 5S clean workspace.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: ITI or Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 1-3 years of hands-on experience in industrial CNC or laser cutting operations.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and technical drawings.
- Physical Strength: Ability to stand for extended periods and handle heavy metal sheets (using hoists or cranes)
