Assistant Manager – Sales (Government) to lead institutional and government sales for its building materials and infrastructure product portfolio, with a focus on FRP, GFRP, SMC, and composite-based solutions. This is a high-impact, execution-focused position for a professional who thrives in tender-driven environments and has established relationships across government departments, PSUs, and infrastructure agencies.
The ideal candidate will own the full sales cycle — from opportunity identification and specification approval to tender conversion, execution, and payment collection — while building long-term relationships with key stakeholders in the public infrastructure ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Account & Relationship Management
- Develop and manage strategic relationships with Government departments, Municipal Corporations, NBCC, PWD, CPWD, IOCL, HPCL, BPCL, Smart Cities, Railways, Jal Boards, and Urban Development Authorities
- Build and sustain trusted connections with consultants, project managers, and key decision-makers to drive repeat business
Business Development & Opportunity Tracking
- Proactively track upcoming infrastructure and government-funded projects through GeM, CPPP, and state PWD portals
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with company product lines
Consultant & EPC Engagement
- Engage closely with EPC contractors, PMC consultants, architects, and developers to secure product specification approvals
- Influence inclusion of company products in BOQs, tenders, SORs, drawings, and DPRs
Tender & Bid Management
- Own the end-to-end tender lifecycle: opportunity evaluation, feasibility assessment, techno-commercial bid preparation, and pricing strategy
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of tenders in compliance with government procurement norms
Order Conversion & Execution
- Convert tenders and quotations into confirmed orders and contracts
- Monitor project timelines, coordinate dispatch schedules, and ensure on-time delivery
Revenue & Pipeline Ownership
- Achieve assigned revenue targets while maintaining a healthy, well-qualified project pipeline
- Provide accurate sales forecasting and pipeline visibility to leadership
Commercial & Payment Management
- Ensure timely billing, invoicing, and follow-up on receivables
- Maintain commercial discipline across all active accounts
Site Coordination & Support
- Coordinate with site teams to monitor product usage and resolve installation or quality issues
- Act as a liaison between the client site and internal technical/production teams
Market Intelligence
- Track competitor pricing, positioning, and market trends
- Monitor upcoming government investment plans and infrastructure spending trends
Vendor Registration & Compliance
- Manage vendor registration, empanelment, and technical documentation compliance with government bodies and PSUs
Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,300,000.00 per year
