Roles & Responsibilities – Structural Tekla Modeller
- Develop accurate 3D structural models using Tekla Structures based on engineering drawings and design inputs.
- Model steel structures, pipe racks, platforms, equipment supports, ladders, handrails, shelters, and industrial structures.
- Prepare GA Drawings, Fabrication Drawings, Assembly Drawings, and Shop Drawings using Tekla.
- Create detailed structural connections, member detailing, and bolt arrangements.
- Extract BOQ/MTO from Tekla models and ensure accuracy of quantities.
- Perform clash checking and model coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
- Review engineering drawings, structural layouts, specifications, and fabrication requirements.
- Coordinate with Structural Engineers, Piping, Mechanical, and other disciplines to resolve modelling and interface issues.
- Incorporate design changes, revisions, and client comments into the Tekla model.
- Ensure models and drawings meet project standards, quality requirements, and fabrication requirements.
- Support the engineering team during model reviews and drawing checking.
- Maintain proper model and drawing revisions throughout the project lifecycle.
