An Accounts Trainee is an entry-level role where individuals learn accounting while assisting senior professionals with bookkeeping, data entry, and month-end reconciliations. - Bookkeeping & Data Entry: Process daily transactions, manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), and maintain accurate financial ledgers.
- Reconciliations: Assist with bank reconciliations and verify that records align across systems.
- Compliance & Tax: Support the preparation and filing of Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) returns.
- Audit Support: Collect data and organize documents to facilitate internal and annual statutory audits.
- Financial Reporting: Help prepare balance sheets, profit/loss statements, and cash flow summaries.
Key Requirements
- Education: B.Com, M.Com, or equivalent commerce degrees are highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software like Tally ERP, SAP, or QuickBooks.
- Soft Skills: High attention to detail, strong numerical ability, and strict integrity for handling confidential information.
- Willingness to Learn: A proactive mindset and drive to learn both practical accounting and modern AI/ERP-integrated tools
