Production Planning & Operations
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand and business objectives.
- Monitor daily production activities and ensure adherence to production plans.
- Optimize machine utilization, manpower allocation, and production efficiency.
- Coordinate with procurement, maintenance, quality, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Minimize production downtime and address operational bottlenecks.
Team Management
- Lead, supervise, and motivate production staff and supervisors.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and training.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels and workforce planning.
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Quality Management
- Ensure products meet established quality standards and customer specifications.
- Work closely with the Quality team to reduce defects, rework, and customer complaints.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) where required.
- Monitor quality KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Promote workplace safety awareness and safe operating procedures.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards.
Cost Control & Productivity Improvement
- Monitor production costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, or Kaizen initiatives.
- Improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) and productivity metrics.
- Manage waste reduction and process optimization projects.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
- Analyze production data and KPIs to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Present operational performance updates to senior management.
- Develop action plans to achieve production targets.
