Core Responsibilities
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to plan the layout of parts.
- Fitting and Assembly: Cut, shape, and align metal plates and structural forms using hand tools, grinders, and presses.
- Welding Operations: Secure components with tack-welds or clamps and complete permanent welds (MIG, TIG, Stick, or Arc) in various positions (flat, vertical, overhead).
- Quality Assurance: Inspect parts for dimensional accuracy, proper fit, and defects using measuring instruments like calipers and tape measures.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain a safe workspace, wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and operate tools like plasma cutters and hoists
