The Portfolio & Performance Analyst supports effective portfolio planning, performance tracking, and governance by providing high-quality analysis, reporting, and insights. The role enables leaders to understand delivery progress, financial performance, risks, and outcomes across a portfolio of initiatives, supporting informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
Portfolio & Performance Reporting
- Produce and maintain portfolio dashboards, scorecards, and reports covering delivery status, milestones, risks, and benefits.
- Track portfolio performance against agreed objectives, KPIs, OKRs, and plans.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and transparency across reporting outputs.
Planning & Portfolio Support
- Support annual and quarterly planning cycles, including roadmaps, priorities, and portfolio inputs.
- Assist with portfolio prioritisation, dependency tracking, and change impact analysis.
- Maintain portfolio data in planning and reporting tools.
Financial & Capacity Insight
- Support financial tracking across the portfolio, including spend, forecasts, and variances.
- Work with finance and delivery teams to reconcile financial and delivery data.
- Provide basic capacity, demand, and utilisation analysis where required.
Governance & Cadence
- Support governance forums by preparing materials, tracking actions, and maintaining logs and decisions.
- Assist in the preparation of operational and performance reviews with clear, fact-based insights.
- Help ensure governance processes are applied consistently across the portfolio.
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Management, Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in portfolio, programme, project, or performance analysis roles.
- Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret and present data clearly.
- Experience producing management reports, dashboards, and performance insights.
- Good understanding of portfolio, programme, or project delivery environments.
Preferred:
- Exposure to financial tracking, forecasting, or business case data.
- Experience working with portfolio management or reporting tools.
