About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in hotel construction projects to lead the execution of a prestigious hospitality development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the complete project lifecycle—from planning and execution to handover—while ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Candidates with prior experience in constructing premium hotels (ITC, Marriott, Taj, Hyatt, Radisson, or similar hospitality projects) will be given preference.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end execution of the hotel construction project.
- Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, structural engineers, MEP consultants, contractors, and vendors.
- Ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential delays or risks, implementing corrective actions where required.
- Manage site teams, subcontractors, and project engineers to ensure smooth execution.
- Conduct regular site inspections and review construction quality.
- Verify contractor bills, project measurements, and progress reports.
- Ensure timely procurement and availability of construction materials and equipment.
- Liaise with government authorities and consultants for statutory approvals whenever required.
- Prepare weekly and monthly project status reports for senior management.
- Drive timely completion while maintaining premium hospitality construction standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech Civil).
- Master's degree in Construction Management or Project Management will be an added advantage.
- PMP or equivalent certification is preferred.
Experience
- 10–15+ years of experience in construction project management.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing hotel or hospitality construction projects.
- Proven experience in delivering large-scale commercial or luxury hospitality projects.
- Experience handling projects from excavation to final handover.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of hotel construction methodologies.
- Excellent knowledge of RCC, finishing works, MEP coordination, HVAC, fire-fighting systems, and interior fit-outs.
- Ability to manage multiple contractors and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Strong project planning and scheduling skills using MS Project or Primavera.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, BOQs, billing, and project documentation.
- Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience working on premium hotel brands such as ITC Hotels, Marriott, Taj, Hyatt, Hilton, Radisson, or similar hospitality developments.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead large multidisciplinary teams.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling high-value projects.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict project deadlines.
