Requirement – Welding Engineer
We are looking for an experienced and qualified Welding Engineer to join our organization. The candidate should have strong knowledge of welding processes, WPS/PQR qualification, welding inspection, quality control, and fabrication activities related to pressure vessels / heat exchangers / heavy engineering equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and qualification of WPS, PQR, and WPQ
- Monitoring welding activities as per approved procedures
- Coordination with production, quality, and inspection agencies
- Review of welding consumables and material traceability
- Handling customer/TPI inspections and documentation
- Ensuring compliance with ASME, AWS, and other applicable codes
- Troubleshooting welding-related issues on shop floor
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Metallurgical Engineering
- Welding certifications preferred (CSWIP / IWE / AWS etc.)
- Experience in fabrication industry, preferably Heat Exchangers / Pressure Vessels
- Good knowledge of ASME Section IX and welding standards
- Strong communication and documentation skills
