About the Company
Air Move is a growing on-demand moving and delivery platform serving key Australian markets, including Melbourne and Perth. It operates under Move My Stuff, an established Melbourne-based removals company with a strong presence in the Australian moving industry. This role will primarily support Air Move operations, with occasional involvement in selected operational activities for Move My Stuff as business needs require.
Role Purpose
The Operations Executive will play a critical role in ensuring smooth day-to-day logistics coordination, customer communication, and issue resolution across Air Move’s operations. The role requires someone who can work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple live jobs at once, and ensure service levels are maintained through strong communication and operational discipline. Because the operational base is in Melbourne and services extend to Perth, prior understanding of Australian logistics routing, especially in Melbourne and Perth, is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee daily moving and delivery operations to ensure jobs are assigned, tracked, and completed smoothly.
- Monitor active logistics workflows, identify delays or service gaps, and take corrective action in real time.
- Act as a communication bridge between internal teams, drivers, service partners, and customers.
- Answer inbound calls professionally, understand customer concerns, and route issues to the appropriate team when needed.
- Make outbound calls to customers regarding delivery updates, ETA changes, service confirmations, and issue resolution.
- Manage live operational exceptions with urgency, including scheduling changes, delays, driver coordination, and customer escalations.
- Handle customer complaints and grievances with empathy, professionalism, and a solution-oriented approach.
- Maintain accurate notes, call records, and operational updates in internal systems.
- Identify recurring workflow inefficiencies and contribute ideas to improve speed, service quality, and operational reliability.
- Support selected Move My Stuff operational tasks when required, in alignment with broader business priorities.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is organized, calm under pressure, and confident handling live operations in a customer-facing environment. This person should be equally comfortable coordinating logistics tasks, speaking with customers, and solving unexpected problems quickly and professionally.
Skills and Experience Required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics, operations, dispatch, customer support operations, or a similar coordination-focused role.
- Prior experience in logistics businesses serving international, interstate, or time-sensitive markets is preferred.
- Prior experience or working knowledge of Australian logistics routing is highly preferred, especially for Melbourne and Perth operations.
- Strong understanding of operational coordination, scheduling, service tracking, and issue escalation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a clear customer-first mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and remain composed in a deadline-driven, fast-moving environment.
- Strong problem-solving ability with close attention to detail and follow-through.
- Proven experience handling customer complaints and driving issues through to resolution.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable working independently in a remote setup.
- Must be available to work consistently during the 4:30 AM – 1:30 PM shift.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to moving, removals, last-mile delivery, transport coordination, or marketplace logistics environments.
- Familiarity with routing, driver coordination, and service coverage considerations across Melbourne and Perth.
- Experience using CRM, operations dashboards, dispatch tools, or logistics management systems.
- Ability to contribute ideas that improve process efficiency and customer experience outcomes.
Pay: ₹38,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
