Senior Technical Product Manager I – E-Commerce
Location: Bengaluru, India
Department: Global Data | E-Commerce Platform
Jeppesen ForeFlight is the industry leader in aviation software and data, serving commercial airlines, military operators, business aviation, and general aviation pilots worldwide. We are seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager based in Bengaluru to own the technical execution of our e-commerce platform as the primary product interface between engineering teams in India and global business stakeholders.
This role is a technical bridge connecting engineering teams in India with the broader roadmap and strategic direction set by global leadership. It is not a partnership with a US-based Product Manager as previously scoped — this candidate owns and drives technical execution autonomously. You will translate high-level strategy and business requirements into scalable, reliable, and high-quality technical solutions, working closely with engineering, architecture, and QA teams to deliver measurable outcomes for our customers and business.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the technical product execution for the e-commerce platform, from requirements definition through delivery and iteration.
- Translate product strategy and global business requirements into clear technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Serve as the primary product interface for engineering, architecture, and QA teams based in India.
- Drive backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release readiness in collaboration with engineering leadership.
- Ensure platform solutions meet requirements for scalability, performance, security, and reliability.
- Make trade-off decisions related to technical complexity, timelines, and product quality.
- Identify technical risks and dependencies early and proactively propose mitigation plans.
- Support integration with payment systems, order management, fulfillment, and third-party services.
- Use data, logs, and operational metrics to inform product improvements and prioritize enhancements.
- Operate effectively across time zones, maintaining strong communication and documentation practices.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED)
- Bachelor's degree required.
- At least 4 years of experience in software-based product management.
- Background in leading technical development; background in software engineering strongly preferred.
- Experience delivering e-commerce platforms or large-scale transactional systems.
- Experience translating high-level strategy into detailed, execution-ready requirements.
- Excellent listening, written, and oral communication skills with the ability to work effectively with a global team.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a high level of autonomy with minimal oversight.
- Ability to balance speed, quality, and technical rigor in a fast-moving environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED)
- Experience with payment gateways, subscription billing, or digital product delivery platforms.
- Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and API-driven integration patterns.
- Experience operating as a technical PM across distributed, cross-timezone engineering teams.
TYPICAL EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Education/experience typically acquired through a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, and typically 4 or more years' related product management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
