Role Summary
We are seeking a diligent and organised Junior Accountant to support the company’s day-to-day accounting, statutory compliance and financial administration. The successful candidate should have practical knowledge of Zoho Books, bookkeeping, GST and TDS compliance, payroll-related statutory requirements, employee reimbursements and financial reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities
- Record purchase and sales invoices accurately in Zoho Books.
- Prepare and process credit notes, debit notes and journal entries.
- Create and maintain sales orders and purchase-related accounting records.
- Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Reconcile customer, supplier and general ledger accounts.
- Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Assist with customer and vendor balance confirmations.
- Prepare data and supporting documents for GST return filings, including GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B.
- Assist with GST reconciliations, input tax credit verification and e-invoice/e-way bill compliance.
- Calculate, deduct and deposit TDS within prescribed timelines.
- Prepare information for quarterly TDS returns and support the issuance of TDS certificates.
- Assist with PF/EPF and other applicable payroll-related statutory filings.
- Maintain statutory compliance calendars and ensure filings and payments are completed on time.
- Review and process employee expense and travel reimbursement claims.
- Verify claims against company policies, invoices, receipts and approval limits.
- Identify missing documentation, duplicate claims and policy exceptions.
- Process approved claims and maintain complete supporting records.
- Assess and process distributor, customer, sales promotion or other commercial claims, where applicable.
- Maintain accurate records of claims received, approved, rejected and settled.
- Support monthly and year-end book closures.
- Prepare accounting schedules, reports and documentation for internal and statutory audits.
- Maintain organised digital and physical accounting records.
- Perform other finance and administrative duties assigned by management.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience in India.
- Working knowledge of Zoho Books; familiarity with Zoho Expense, Zoho Inventory or Zoho Payroll would be advantageous.
- Practical understanding of GST, TDS, PF/EPF and routine statutory compliance.
- Experience in bookkeeping, invoicing, credit notes, bank reconciliation and ledger scrutiny.
- Familiarity with employee reimbursements and commercial claims processing.
- Good numerical ability and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English. Knowledge of the local language would be advantageous.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet statutory and month-end deadlines.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience in an FMCG, manufacturing, distribution or consumer-products business.
- Familiarity with inventory accounting, purchase orders and sales-order processing.
- Basic knowledge of payroll accounting and audit documentation.
- Proactive approach to identifying discrepancies and following up for resolution.

- Accuracy and completeness of bookkeeping.
- Timely filing and payment of GST, TDS and PF/EPF obligations.
- Accuracy and turnaround time for reimbursement and claims processing.
- Timely completion of bank and ledger reconciliations.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
