Description & Requirements

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive TDS Executive to join our finance and accounts team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have 1 – 4 years of experience in handling TDS compliance, return filing, and related statutory obligations. This role requires strong knowledge of TDS provisions under the Income Tax Act and experience using TDS return filing software or portals.

Responsibilities

Ensure timely deduction and deposit of TDS as per applicable provisions of the Income Tax Act.
Preparation and filing of TDS returns (Form 24Q, 26Q, 27Q, etc.) on a quarterly basis.
Preparation and issuance of TDS certificates (Form 16, 16A) to vendors and employees.
Monthly reconciliation of TDS payable and actual payments made.
Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to resolve TDS-related queries.
Ensure compliance with TDS rules and regulations, keeping track of any changes in tax laws.
Handle correction returns and resolve notices received from the Income Tax Department.
Maintain accurate documentation and records for audit and statutory purposes.
Monitor and ensure compliance with challan verification, PAN validation, and correct section-wise deductions.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Experience: 1 – 4 years of hands-on experience in TDS compliance and return filing.
Strong knowledge of Income Tax Act provisions related to TDS.
Proficiency in TDS software (such as ClearTDS, Winman, or similar) and TRACES portal.
Good understanding of Excel and accounting tools.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communication and coordination skills.

Preferred:

Experience handling TDS for both salaries and non-salaries.
Familiarity with GST and other statutory compliances is a plus (not mandatory).
