Job Summary
The MEP Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and smooth functioning of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems within the office premises. The role ensures that all building services operate efficiently, safely, and with minimal downtime to support uninterrupted business operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Electrical Maintenance
- Perform routine checks and maintenance of electrical systems (lighting, switches, wiring, DB panels)
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults and power issues
- Ensure proper functioning of UPS, generators (if applicable), and backup systems
- Monitor energy usage and report abnormalities
2. Plumbing Maintenance
- Inspect and maintain water supply systems, pipelines, fixtures, and drainage systems
- Fix leakages, blockages, and other plumbing issues promptly
- Ensure proper functioning of restrooms and water facilities
3. HVAC / Mechanical Systems
- Maintain and service air conditioning systems (split ACs, central AC if applicable)
- Perform routine cleaning, filter replacement, and basic troubleshooting
- Coordinate with external vendors for major AC repairs or servicing
4. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
- Execute preventive maintenance schedules for all MEP systems
- Attend breakdown maintenance requests on priority
- Ensure minimal downtime and quick resolution of issues
5. Inspection & Safety
- Conduct regular inspections of MEP systems to identify potential issues
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and procedures
- Report hazards and assist in implementing corrective actions
6. Vendor Coordination
- Assist in coordinating with external service providers (electricians, plumbers, HVAC vendors)
- Support supervision of outsourced maintenance work
7. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections
- Update records for equipment servicing and breakdowns
- Report recurring issues to the Maintenance Manager
8. General Facility Support
- Assist in office setup, workstation readiness, and minor civil works (basic repairs)
- Support other facility-related tasks as required
Skills & Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Plumbing or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in MEP or facility maintenance roles.
- Hands-on knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Basic understanding of safety practices.
- Ability to work independently and respond quickly to issues.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Candidates should be flexible and willing to handle multi-skilled maintenance tasks beyond core specialization.
- Experience in commercial buildings or office environments preferred.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
