Position: Business Development Executive (BDE)

Job Summary
Southern Automation is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Business Development Executive (BDE) to drive business growth in the Industrial Automation sector. The BDE will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, generating leads, developing customer relationships, and promoting automation solutions including PLC, SCADA, HMI, VFD, Control Panels, and turnkey automation projects. The role requires close collaboration with the application team to deliver customized solutions that meet customer requirements and achieve revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities Business Development
· Identify and develop new business opportunities across manufacturing industries.
· Generate leads through cold calling, networking, industrial visits, referrals, and digital platforms.
· Build and maintain relationships with OEMs, and end-user industries.
· Conduct regular customer visits to understand automation requirements and identify potential projects.
· Develop strategic account plans for key customers.
Sales & Customer Engagement
· Promote Southern Automation's automation products, engineering services, and turnkey solutions.
· Conduct technical presentations and solution discussions with customers.
· Coordinate with the Application team to prepare techno-commercial proposals and quotations.
· Negotiate commercial terms and close sales opportunities.
· Follow up on quotations and convert opportunities into confirmed orders.
Coordination & Reporting
· Maintain an updated sales pipeline and customer database in CRM.
· Prepare weekly sales activity reports and monthly business forecasts.
· Coordinate with project, procurement, and service teams to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction.
· Support payment follow-up and ensure timely collections.
Qualifications Education
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering (EEE, ECE & E&I).
· MBA (Marketing) is an added advantage.
Experience
· 1–2 years of experience in Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering, Technical Sales, or Business Development.

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
