- Greet and assist patients professionally and courteously.
- Register patients and accurately enter patient demographic and test information into the laboratory information system/register.
- Verify patient identity and ensure correct matching of patient details with the test requisition.
- Explain sample collection requirements and basic pre-test instructions to patients.
- Receive payments, issue receipts and maintain necessary billing records, where applicable.
- Coordinate with laboratory staff regarding pending, rejected or repeat samples.
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection using appropriate techniques.
- Collect blood and other specimens as authorized by the laboratory and according to SOPs.
- Properly label specimens immediately after collection and verify patient identification.
- Maintain aseptic technique and follow infection-control precautions during sample collection.
- Handle sharps safely and dispose of needles and other biomedical waste according to applicable procedures.
- Provide appropriate first aid/basic assistance in case of dizziness, fainting or other minor reactions during blood collection and promptly inform the concerned supervisor when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the phlebotomy area and collection equipment.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹17,000.00 per month
