Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled Web Designer / Web Developer to join our team in Kochi. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining responsive, high-performing websites and landing pages.
The ideal candidate combines a strong eye for visual design and user experience (UI/UX) with practical coding skills to customize layouts, fix performance issues, and implement back-end functionality using PHP and Python.
Key Responsibilities
- Website & Landing Page Development: Design and build modern, mobile-responsive, and high-converting websites on WordPress and custom platforms.
- Custom Coding & Tweaks: Use HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP to customize themes, structure database workflows, and tailor UI elements beyond basic page builders.
- Back-End & Scripting Support: Utilize PHP and Python knowledge for basic server-side logic, custom integrations, or backend scripting needs.
- UI/UX Mockups: Conceptualize layout structures, user flows, and visual prototypes before deployment (Figma/Adobe XD experience is a strong advantage).
- Site Optimization & Maintenance: Optimize page loading speeds, ensure cross-browser compatibility, update plugins/themes, and maintain site security.
- Marketing Collaboration: Work closely with the performance marketing team to build landing pages optimized for ad campaigns and lead generation.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of professional experience in web design and web development.
- Core Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with WordPress (experience with page builders like Elementor/Gutenberg).
- Solid command of front-end basics: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
- Core programming proficiency in PHP and Python.
- Design Capabilities: Understanding of responsive grid systems, typography, color theory, and web design best practices.
- Bonus / Preferred Skills (Advantage):
- Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Photoshop.
- Basic knowledge of web hosting environments, cPanel, domain setup, and database handling (MySQL).
- Portfolio: A portfolio of live website links, custom code projects, or UI designs is mandatory.
