Job Summary
The Manager – Business Development & Client Servicing is responsible for driving team revenue, managing strategic client relationships, and ensuring consistent business conversion through effective sales planning and execution. The role requires ownership of the complete sales lifecycle—from opportunity identification and proposal strategy to client acquisition, account growth, and successful project handover.
The incumbent will lead a team of business development professionals, mentor them to improve conversion effectiveness, collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, and ensure sustainable revenue growth while maintaining profitability.
Key Responsibilities1. Revenue Generation & Sales Performance
- Drive achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual team revenue targets.
- Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with organizational business objectives.
- Monitor sales funnel performance and improve lead-to-conversion ratios.
- Review team performance regularly and implement corrective actions wherever required.
- Ensure achievement of assigned business KPIs.
2. Pipeline Management & Forecasting
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline across multiple industry segments.
- Track opportunities through every stage of the sales cycle.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts and revenue projections.
- Review pipeline health with the leadership team and recommend strategic interventions.
3. Key Account Management
- Manage strategic and high-value client relationships.
- Act as the primary escalation point for critical client requirements.
- Build long-term partnerships by understanding client business objectives.
- Ensure high client satisfaction and repeat business opportunities.
4. Proposal Development & Commercial Strategy
- Lead preparation of customized business proposals, presentations, and commercial offers.
- Ensure competitive pricing while maintaining organizational profitability.
- Coordinate with design, estimation, procurement, and finance teams during proposal preparation.
- Negotiate commercial terms and successfully close business opportunities.
5. Business Development & Account Expansion
- Identify and acquire new business opportunities across targeted industries.
- Develop strategies for new logo acquisition.
- Increase wallet share within existing client accounts through cross-selling and up-selling.
- Track market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to identify growth opportunities.
6. Team Leadership & Capability Development
- Lead, coach, and mentor the Business Development team.
- Allocate territories, accounts, and sales targets effectively.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Support team members during complex negotiations and strategic client discussions.
- Build a high-performance sales culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Design, Operations, Projects, Procurement, Finance, and Leadership teams to ensure smooth project transition after business conversion.
- Facilitate seamless communication between internal teams and clients.
- Ensure timely resolution of operational issues affecting client satisfaction.
8. Governance & Reporting
- Maintain CRM hygiene and sales documentation.
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports for management.
- Monitor business profitability, client retention, and revenue realization.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and sales governance processes.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Architecture, Engineering, or related discipline.
Experience
- 3–4 years of experience in Business Development, Client Servicing in advertising agency.
- Experience in Retail Rollout, Experiential Marketing, Interior Fit-outs, Design Agency,
Pay: ₹65,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
