Job Responsibilities
- Operate conventional milling machines to manufacture SPM machine components, fixtures, plates, brackets, and precision parts.
- Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and machining requirements.
- Perform milling, slotting, drilling, tapping, and other machining operations.
- Set up and operate milling machines according to job requirements.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and machining methods.
- Check dimensions using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, and other measuring instruments.
- Maintain required accuracy and surface finish as per drawings.
- Identify machining defects and take necessary corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Design, Production, and Quality teams.
- Maintain machine, tools, and workplace cleanliness and safety.
Requirements
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or relevant technical qualification.
- 3–8 years of experience in milling machine operation.
- Experience in SPM, automation, tooling, fixture, or machine-component manufacturing preferred.
- Good knowledge of engineering drawings and machining tolerances.
- Ability to independently handle milling jobs from setup to final inspection.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments and basic machining calculations.
