We are looking for a Production QC professional with hands-on experience in sheet metal manufacturing and production quality inspection. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring product quality at various stages of production, identifying defects, ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications, and maintaining quality standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform in-process and final inspection of sheet metal components.
- Inspect components manufactured through laser cutting, bending, punching, fabrication, welding, grinding, and assembly.
- Check components as per engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and specifications.
- Use measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Measuring Tape, Angle Gauge, and other inspection tools.
- Identify and report dimensional, visual, fabrication, welding, and assembly defects.
- Monitor quality during production and ensure defective parts are identified and segregated.
- Coordinate with Production, Design, and Engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
- Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspection.
- Maintain inspection reports, rejection reports, and other quality-related documents.
- Analyze production defects and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Ensure production is carried out according to approved drawings and quality standards.
- Monitor rework and rejection and take necessary corrective action.
- Ensure proper identification and segregation of OK, Rework, and Rejected components.
- Support implementation of 5S and continuous quality improvement activities.
- Maintain proper records of inspection and quality performance.
- Follow company quality procedures, safety requirements, and work instructions.
