Kugan Infotech is an engineering and technology services firm based in Chennai, delivering specialized engineering consulting, pre-construction management, and technical documentation services for clients in the United States.
We are seeking detail-oriented Civil Engineers to support our growing portfolio of US commercial, industrial, and infrastructure construction projects. In this role, you will work directly on US contract documents, perform digital quantity take-offs using Bluebeam Revu, conduct constructability reviews, and develop comprehensive quality control submittal logs.
Key Responsibilities
- Pre-Construction & Constructability Reviews: Review US bid sets, schematic designs, and Issued-for-Construction (IFC) drawings to identify design conflicts, missing details, and scope gaps; draft formal Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Digital Quantity Take-Off (QTO): Perform precise material take-offs (concrete volumes, earthwork, rebar, steel, finishes) from architectural, structural, and civil drawings using Bluebeam Revu and AutoCAD.
- Submittal Register Extraction: Review project specifications (CSI MasterFormat) to extract and build complete Submittal Registers (shop drawings, product data, material certifications, and manufacturer samples) for US project teams.
- Testing & Special Inspection Tracking: Identify and log code-mandated field testing (soil compaction, concrete compressive strength, asphalt density) and Special Inspection requirements per US building codes and ASTM standards.
- Drawing Coordination: Use Bluebeam Revu document comparison and overlay tools to track plan revisions, addenda, and drawing bulletins.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech).
- 2–5+ years of practical experience in construction engineering, quantity estimation, or drawing/specification review (direct experience with US construction drawings and standards strongly preferred).
- High proficiency in Bluebeam Revu (measurement/calibration tools, custom estimation columns, overlay pages, markups) and AutoCAD (navigation, measurement, layer management).
- Strong working knowledge of standard construction details, ASTM testing methods, and building assemblies.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for compiling Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and submittal logs.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills for collaborating with US-based stakeholders.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
