As part of our continued growth journey, we are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Manager to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance, and strengthen financial governance across the organisation.
Role Purpose
The Accounts Manager will be responsible for managing end-to-end accounting functions, ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and effective control over receivables and payables. The role requires strong analytical ability, process orientation, and ownership in maintaining financial discipline while supporting business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, and general ledger
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards
- Maintain proper documentation and financial records
2. Billing, Receivables & Payables Management
- Ensure timely invoicing and accurate billing processes
- Monitor accounts receivable and drive collection efficiency
- Manage vendor payments and ensure timely disbursements
- Track ageing reports and control outstanding balances
3. Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- Handle GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances
- Ensure timely filing of returns and adherence to legal requirements
- Coordinate with auditors for internal and external audits
- Stay updated with changes in financial regulations
4. Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Assist in preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
- Monitor expenses against budgets and highlight variances
- Provide financial insights and reports to management for decision-making
5. Team Management & Process Improvement
- Lead and supervise the accounts team
- Ensure timely completion of tasks and adherence to processes
- Identify process gaps and implement improvements for efficiency
6. Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with internal departments for financial requirements
- Liaise with banks, auditors, and external stakeholders
- Address queries related to financial transactions and compliance

Required Competencies
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and taxation

- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
- Ability to work under deadlines in a structured environment
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Finance (B.Com/M.Com preferred; CA Inter is an advantage)
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in accounting and finance
- Prior experience in distribution, retail, or similar industry preferred
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Strong understanding of end-to-end accounting processes
- Experience in handling audits and compliance independently
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with high ownership
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
