We are looking for a detail-oriented Cost Analyst to analyse project/order cost sheets, identify actual costs, and provide accurate cost information to support pricing, margin and profitability decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse cost sheets and determine the actual cost of each order/project.
- Perform category-wise cost analysis across approximately 10 major cost categories.
- Review material, labour, logistics, overhead and other cost components for accuracy and completeness.
- Compare estimated/budgeted costs with actual costs and identify significant variances.
- Identify abnormal, excessive or incorrect cost elements and highlight them to management.
- Verify supporting documents and coordinate with relevant departments to obtain accurate cost information.
- Prepare clear and accurate cost analysis reports for management review.
- Support the management team in evaluating cost, pricing, gross margin and profitability.
- Ensure cost sheets are properly prepared, reviewed and maintained as per company procedures.
Qualification & Skills
- M.Com / Post Graduate in Commerce, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
- Candidates with specialized knowledge or academic background in Cost Accounting / Costing will be preferred.
- Strong understanding of costing, cost analysis and accounting principles.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and data analysis.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to analyse large amounts of cost data and identify discrepancies.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Key Objective
The primary objective of this role is to accurately determine and analyse the actual cost of each order/project on a category-wise basis, enabling the company to make informed decisions on pricing, margins and profitability.
Pay: From ₹15,000.00 per month
