Shift: Rotational Shift (24/7)Job SummaryCoherent Pixel System is seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise database environments across Microsoft SQL Server, Google Cloud SQL (GCP), and MongoDB platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring database performance, security, availability, backup and recovery, and supporting application teams across production and non-production environments.Key ResponsibilitiesMicrosoft SQL Server Administration
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain SQL Server databases.
- Monitor database performance and implement tuning recommendations.
- Manage backups, restores, disaster recovery (DR), and high-availability (HA) solutions.
- Troubleshoot database issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Implement database security best practices, user access controls, and auditing.
- Support database migrations, upgrades, and patching activities.
GCP Cloud SQL Administration
- Provision and manage Cloud SQL instances (SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL).
- Configure backups, replication, high availability, and failover mechanisms.
- Monitor database health, performance, storage, and resource utilization.
- Implement security controls, including IAM, encryption, and network access policies.
- Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
- Optimize costs and resource utilization within GCP environments.
MongoDB Administration
- Install, configure, and manage MongoDB databases.
- Monitor replication, sharding, and cluster health.
- Perform backup, recovery, and capacity planning activities.
- Optimize query performance and indexing strategies.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and high availability.
- Troubleshoot database and application-related issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on Database Administration experience.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server Administration.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Cloud SQL.
- Experience managing MongoDB databases in production environments.
- Strong knowledge of backup/recovery, HA/DR, replication, and performance tuning.
- Experience with database monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Strong SQL scripting and automation skills.
- Knowledge of database security, compliance, and access management best practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise database environments.
- Exposure to cloud migration and database modernization projects.
- Familiarity with DevOps, automation, and infrastructure monitoring tools.
