About the Role :-
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary academic leader for the position of Principal – Department of Law. The ideal candidate will bring strong academic credentials, extensive leadership experience, and a proven track record in institutional development, accreditation processes, faculty development, and student-centric initiatives.
The candidate should be capable of driving academic excellence, strategic growth, and innovation within the Law Department while ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and administrative direction to the Law Department.
- Lead academic planning, curriculum development, and institutional growth initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to academic quality standards and regulatory compliance.
- Drive NAAC/NBA accreditation processes and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Design and implement Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), student development programs, legal workshops, seminars, moot courts, and industry engagement activities.
- Strengthen academic collaborations with legal institutions, universities, judiciary, and industry bodies.
- Oversee syllabus planning, academic audits, examination processes, and faculty performance management.
- Promote research culture, publications, innovation, and interdisciplinary learning.
- Mentor faculty members and students for academic and professional excellence.
- Build strong student engagement initiatives focused on employability, leadership, and holistic development.
- Support admissions, branding, outreach, and institutional representation activities.
Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification
- Ph.D. in Law (Mandatory)
- LL.M.
- LL.B. / B.A. LL.B.
- Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience working with reputed universities, law colleges, or autonomous institutions.
- Exposure to academic audits, ranking frameworks, and quality assurance systems.
- Strong network within academia, judiciary, and legal industry will be an added advantage.
Experience Required
- Minimum 15+ years of overall academic and administrative experience.
- Minimum 10+ years in strategic leadership roles within reputed educational institutions.
