Main Roles & Responsibilities:
- Read and understand furniture drawings, designs, and measurements.
- Cut wood, plywood, MDF, laminate, and other materials according to size.
- Operate woodworking machines such as:
- Panel saw
- Edge banding machine
- CNC machine
- Drilling machine
- Boring machine
- Sanding machine
- Assemble furniture items like:
- Wardrobes
- Cabinets
- Beds
- Tables
- Modular furniture
- Check material quality before production.
- Ensure proper fitting, finishing, and alignment of furniture parts.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely.
- Maintain cleanliness in the working area.
- Follow factory production targets and supervisor instructions.
- Repair damaged furniture if required.
- Support loading/unloading and packing activities when needed.
- Follow safety rules and wear PPE (safety shoes, gloves, mask, etc.).
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of woodworking and furniture assembly.
- Ability to read measurements and drawings.
- Experience in machine operation.
- Basic knowledge of laminate, hardware fitting, and polishing.
- Teamwork and discipline.
- Ability to work under production pressure.
Qualification:
- ITI Carpenter / Skilled Carpenter / Relevant experience in furniture manufacturing.
- Minimum 1–5 years experience preferred.
