Job Summary
We are looking for a Rooftop Solar Technician to support the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for residential and commercial projects in the Barddhaman region. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in rooftop solar installations, basic electrical knowledge, and a commitment to workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and assemble rooftop solar mounting structures and photovoltaic (PV) modules.
- Carry out DC and AC electrical wiring in accordance with project specifications and safety standards.
- Route and secure cables, connect string inverters, net metering equipment, and battery systems where applicable.
- Perform system testing, voltage checks, insulation testing, and commissioning activities.
- Identify and resolve technical issues during installation and maintenance visits.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of rooftop solar systems.
- Follow electrical and work-at-height safety procedures at all times.
- Coordinate with supervisors and project teams to complete installations within scheduled timelines.
- Maintain accurate service records and installation documentation.
- Provide professional support to customers during installation and service visits.
Required Qualifications
- ITI in Electrical, Wireman, Fitter, or a Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- 1–3 years of experience in rooftop solar PV installation or maintenance.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems, solar PV components, and installation practices.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and follow technical instructions.
- Familiarity with electrical safety practices and working at heights.
- Willingness to travel to project sites within the assigned region.
