About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Associate-Field Sales to join our growing sales team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating new business, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth through direct, on-ground client engagement. This role requires someone comfortable with travel, face-to-face client meetings, and consultative selling.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and acquire new clients within the assigned territory through field visits, networking, and referrals.
- Conduct in-person meetings, product/service demonstrations, and presentations to prospective clients.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients to drive repeat business and referrals.
- Achieve and exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets and revenue goals.
- Understand client requirements and recommend appropriate solutions (software, banking products, or IT services as applicable).
- Manage the complete sales cycle: lead generation, qualification, proposal, negotiation, and closure.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, pipeline status, and sales activity in CRM tools.
- Coordinate with internal teams (pre-sales, technical, operations) to ensure smooth onboarding and client servicing post-sale.
- Stay updated on market trends, competitor offerings, and industry developments to identify new business opportunities.
- Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to management.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred but not mandatory).
- 2–5 years of proven experience in field sales, business development, or client-facing sales roles.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with a results-oriented approach and ability to work independently in the field.
- Comfortable with extensive local travel and meeting daily/weekly client visit targets.
- Working knowledge of CRM software and MS Office/Google Workspace.
- Valid driving license and own vehicle preferred (if applicable to the role).
Preferred Industry Background
Candidates with prior experience in any of the following sectors will be given preference:
- Banking & Financial Services — experience selling loans, credit cards, insurance, or other financial products through direct/field channels.
- IT Services — experience in B2B sales of IT solutions, managed services, or technology consulting.
- SaaS — experience selling subscription-based software products, particularly in a B2B environment with consultative or solution-selling experience.
Candidates from these backgrounds typically bring strong consultative selling skills, target-driven discipline, and an understanding of structured sales cycles, which are valuable for this role.
