About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team at Infopark, Koratty.
The role involves supporting Australian accounting and bookkeeping activities, including financial statement preparation, reconciliations, year-end accounting, taxation-related work and financial reporting.
You will work as part of our accounting team and report to a Senior Accountant, who will provide guidance, review completed work and oversee final accounting and compliance activities.
We are looking for someone with strong accounting fundamentals, good attention to detail and the ability to independently handle routine accounting and bookkeeping tasks.
Responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements, working papers and supporting schedules.
- Perform bank, credit card, loan and general ledger reconciliations.
- Prepare journal entries, year-end adjustments and depreciation schedules.
- Review bookkeeping records and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with taxation-related working papers and compliance activities.
- Support monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting.
- Assist with payroll and related accounting activities where required.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation.
- Work closely with the Senior Accountant to complete assigned work accurately and on time.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience.
- B.Com, M.Com or another recognised Accounting/Finance qualification.
- CA Inter, CMA Inter, ACCA or similar qualifications would be an advantage but are not mandatory.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
- Experience with reconciliations, journal entries, general ledger and year-end accounting.
- Experience in an accounting firm, CA practice or outsourced accounting environment is preferred.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Xero is preferred; MYOB or QuickBooks knowledge would be an advantage.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English is mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as part of a team.
Added Advantage
Knowledge of or familiarity with Australian accounting and bookkeeping terminology and processes, including BAS, IAS, GST, PAYG, Australian tax returns, Xero Tax or Xero Practice Manager, would be an advantage but is not mandatory.
Candidates with strong accounting experience and an interest in developing their knowledge of Australian accounting practices are also encouraged to apply.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
