Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Desktop & Laptop Service Engineer to drive technical excellence at our service center. The successful candidate will be the primary technical responder for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining consumer and commercial computing devices. This role demands deep hardware troubleshooting capabilities, operating system expertise, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, efficient service repairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Comprehensive Diagnostics: Accurately diagnose hardware and software issues on laptops and desktops, utilizing diagnostic tools and schematics to pinpoint component-level failures.
- Hardware Repair & Replacement: Execute chip-level repairs, circuit tracing, and component replacements, including motherboards, LCD/LED screens, keyboards, hinges, RAM, and storage drives.
- System Assembly & Teardown: Safely disassemble and reassemble various models of laptops and desktops, ensuring zero damage to internal flex cables or exterior housings.
- Software & OS Configuration: Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems, resolve driver conflicts, remove malware, and perform data backup and recovery operations.
- Client Communication: Clearly explain technical issues, repair costs, and turnaround times to clients, providing post-repair usage and maintenance advice.
- Inventory & Documentation: Maintain detailed logs of incoming service tickets, parts utilized, and repair resolutions in the tracking system. Coordinate with vendors for hardware warranty claims when necessary.
Qualifications & Skill Requirements
- Experience: 0 to 1 years of proven, hands-on experience in a dedicated laptop and desktop service centre environment.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
