To maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment by washing utensils and equipment, cleaning work areas, and assisting the kitchen team with basic support tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen workstations, floors, walls, and storage areas.
- Dispose of waste and recyclables according to hygiene and safety procedures.
- Receive, unpack, and store food deliveries in the appropriate storage areas.
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks when required (e.g., washing and peeling vegetables).
- Ensure cleaning chemicals and equipment are used safely and stored properly.
- Maintain compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
- Replenish cleaning supplies and report any shortages or equipment faults.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of food hygiene and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift moderate loads.
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
- Previous experience is beneficial but not always required, as training is often provided.
Working Conditions:
- Works in restaurants, hotels, hospitals, cafeterias, catering companies, or other commercial kitchens.
- May work evenings, weekends, holidays, and shifts depending on operational requirements.
- Requires adherence to strict hygiene and safety standards.
Pay: ₹5,000.00 - ₹7,000.00 per month
