- Operate and monitor laser cutting, engraving, or welding machines as per production requirements.
- Adjust machine settings for speed, power, and focus based on material type and thickness.
- Load and unload raw materials (such as metal sheets, acrylic, wood, etc.) onto the machine.
- Ensure proper alignment and secure placement of materials before processing.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
- Input or modify programs in the CNC laser system for precise cutting/engraving.
- Perform machine setup and calibration before production runs.
- Inspect finished products to ensure accuracy, dimensions, and surface finish meet quality standards.
- Make adjustments to machine settings when required.
- Identify and report defects or irregularities in materials and outputs.
- Conduct routine cleaning and maintenance of the laser machine, lenses, and filters.
- Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot basic mechanical or software issues.
- Report major maintenance needs to the supervisor or maintenance team.
- Follow all safety protocols while operating laser equipment.
- Wear appropriate PPE (goggles, gloves, masks, etc.) to prevent accidents.
- Comply with company and industry safety standards and guidelines.
- Maintain records of daily production, machine performance, and material usage.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of raw materials and finished products.
- Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other operators to achieve production goals.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
