Hiring Cinematographer & Video Editor

Rare Fiction Media is looking for a passionate and highly creative Cinematographer & Video Editor to join our team full-time. We are seeking someone who can independently handle both production and post-production while creating premium, cinematic, and visually engaging content for brands, social media, advertisements, campaigns, and commercial projects.
The ideal candidate should have a strong cinematic eye, modern editing style, and the ability to turn creative concepts into high-quality visual stories. If you are passionate about filmmaking, storytelling, camera work, and creating impactful edits, we would love to work with you.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, shoot, and execute high-quality cinematic video content
- Handle complete video production including framing, lighting, camera movements, and shot composition
- Shoot reels, advertisements, interviews, brand campaigns, lifestyle content, and commercial projects
- Edit engaging videos optimized for Instagram, YouTube, Meta Ads, and digital platforms
- Perform professional color correction and cinematic color grading
- Add transitions, sound design, background music, subtitles, and motion graphics where required
- Work closely with the creative and marketing team to execute concepts and campaigns
- Maintain visual consistency and premium quality across all projects
- Organize footage, manage project files, and deliver content within deadlines
- Stay updated with current social media trends, cinematic styles, and editing techniques
Requirements
- Strong experience in cinematography and professional video editing
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or similar software
- Good understanding of lighting, composition, storytelling, pacing, and cinematic visuals
- Ability to independently manage shoots and edits from start to finish
- Must own a DSLR/Mirrorless camera and basic shooting equipment
- Experience handling gimbals, lenses, lighting setups, and audio equipment is preferred
- Strong creative sense with attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced creative environment
- Portfolio or showreel is mandatory
Preferred Skills
- Drone videography
- Motion graphics and VFX basics
- Photography knowledge
- Experience working with brands or agencies
- Understanding of viral short-form content and ad creatives
What We’re Looking For
