We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chinese Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in preparing authentic and Indo-Chinese dishes, maintaining exceptional food quality, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations. The Chef will be responsible for menu preparation, food presentation, inventory management, and adherence to food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of Chinese and Indo-Chinese dishes, including noodles, fried rice, soups, appetizers, stir-fries, and specialty dishes.
- Ensure consistency in taste, quality, portioning, and presentation.
- Plan and execute daily food production according to menu requirements.
- Monitor food quality, freshness, and proper storage of ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations and equipment.
- Manage inventory levels and assist with purchasing and stock control.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff when required.
- Minimize food wastage and maintain cost-effective kitchen operations.
- Collaborate with management on menu development and new dish creation.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chinese Chef or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Chinese and Indo-Chinese cooking techniques, ingredients, and recipes.
- Ability to prepare high-volume meals while maintaining quality standards.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen best practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Culinary certification or professional cooking training.
- Experience in restaurants, hotels, catering services, or cloud kitchens.
- Knowledge of additional cuisines is an advantage.
- Leadership experience in managing or training kitchen staff.
