Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee machine shop operations in a precision manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with CNC and VMC machining, possess strong machine drawing interpretation skills, and be capable of ensuring production targets, quality standards, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day production activities in the machine shop.
- Plan, schedule, and monitor production to achieve daily and monthly targets.
- Interpret engineering and machine drawings accurately for precision component manufacturing.
- Coordinate production activities involving CNC and VMC machines.
- Ensure proper machine utilization, process adherence, and minimum downtime.
- Monitor component quality and ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and Stores departments for smooth production flow.
- Train and guide machine operators on work instructions, safety, and best practices.
- Monitor manpower allocation and optimize productivity.
- Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed in coordination with the maintenance team.
- Maintain production records, reports, and process documentation.
- Implement and promote 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, housekeeping, and company policies.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of machine drawing interpretation (Mandatory).
- Hands-on experience in CNC and VMC machining operations.
- Good understanding of machining processes, precision engineering, tolerances, and measuring instruments.
- Ability to lead production teams and achieve production targets.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Good communication and team management abilities.
Qualification
- Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience
- 3–6 years of experience in a precision manufacturing or machine shop environment.
- Experience working with CNC, VMC, and precision machining is mandatory.
- Exposure to quality standards, process improvement, and production planning will be an added advantage.
Preferred Candidate
- Candidates from precision engineering, automotive, aerospace, tooling, or component manufacturing industries.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage operators and deliver production targets while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
