The Kitchen Stewarding Supervisor is responsible for supervising the stewarding team, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and back-of-house areas, and ensuring that all kitchen equipment, utensils, crockery, and cutlery are properly cleaned, stored, and available when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily work of kitchen stewards.
- Ensure proper cleaning and sanitization of kitchen equipment, utensils, crockery, cutlery, floors, and work areas.
- Monitor hygiene and sanitation standards according to hotel and food-safety requirements.
- Assign duties and work schedules to stewarding staff.
- Check the operation and cleanliness of dishwashing machines and other stewarding equipment.
- Maintain adequate stocks of cleaning chemicals, detergents, and kitchen supplies.
- Ensure chemicals are stored and used safely.
- Monitor proper garbage segregation and disposal.
- Coordinate with the Kitchen, F&B, and Housekeeping departments when required.
- Report damaged or missing equipment, crockery, glassware, and utensils.
- Train new stewarding employees on cleaning procedures, safety, and hygiene.
- Maintain attendance, duty rosters, and daily checklists.
- Ensure safe working practices and report accidents or hazards to management.
- Support the Stewarding Manager/Executive Chef in maintaining smooth kitchen operations.
Required Skills

- Basic record-keeping and inventory skills.
- Previous hotel or restaurant stewarding experience is usually preferred.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month
