Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Automobile Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and repair of our vehicle fleet. The ideal candidate will supervise workshop operations, coordinate with mechanics and drivers, ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed, and maintain high standards of vehicle safety and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily vehicle maintenance and repair activities.
- Plan and monitor preventive maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate with mechanics, drivers, and external service providers.
- Inspect vehicles to ensure repairs meet quality and safety standards.
- Maintain service records, maintenance logs, and vehicle documentation.
- Monitor fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and vehicle performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and road safety regulations.
- Manage spare parts inventory and workshop equipment.
- Investigate vehicle breakdowns and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare maintenance reports for management.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in automobile workshop or fleet maintenance.
- Experience in supervising mechanics or workshop staff.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs.
- Good leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and maintenance reporting.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing commercial vehicles or a company fleet.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems and inventory management.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
