Job Description
Position: Finance & Compliance Manager
Location: Pune, Maharashtra
Reporting To: Director
Role Purpose
We are looking for a dynamic Finance & Compliance Manager to oversee the organization's finance, accounting, statutory compliance, and governance functions. The ideal candidate should have a strong finance background with hands-on experience in compliance, audits, budgeting, financial reporting, and internal controls. Experience in the NGO or social impact sector will be preferred but is not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
Finance & Accounting
- Manage accounting operations, financial reporting, cash flow, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Ensure effective fund utilization and financial planning.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, including Income Tax, GST (where applicable), FCRA (where applicable), CSR, and Section 8/Trust/Society regulations.
- Maintain the compliance calendar and ensure timely statutory filings.
- Strengthen internal controls and financial governance.
Audit & Risk Management
- Coordinate statutory, internal, donor, and external audits.
- Resolve audit observations and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and improve finance policies, SOPs, and compliance processes.
Donor & Grant Compliance
- Prepare donor financial reports and utilization certificates.
- Ensure compliance with donor agreements and grant requirements.
- Support fundraising and program teams with financial data and budgets.
Team & Process Management
- Supervise and mentor the finance team.
- Improve financial systems, processes, and ERP utilization.
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and transparency.
Qualifications
- CA, CMA, MBA (Finance), M.Com, or equivalent qualification.
Experience
- 7–12 years of experience in Finance, Accounts, Compliance, Audit, or Financial Control.
- Strong experience in statutory compliance, financial reporting, budgeting, audits, and internal controls.
- Experience in the NGO, Development Sector, or Social Impact organizations is preferred.
- Candidates with strong corporate finance and compliance experience are encouraged to apply.

Compensation
Salary: ₹9–12 LPA (Negotiable based on experience)

Pay: ₹900,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
