Role OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accountant with strong fundamentals in accounting and statutory compliance. The ideal candidate will be capable of working independently while maintaining high standards of accuracy and integrity, ensuring alignment with the company’s values.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain complete and accurate accounting records in Tally
- Prepare and issue invoices in a timely manner
- Monitor and manage accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Maintain and reconcile financial transactions and ledgers
- Prepare monthly GST and TDS workings and ensure compliance with statutory requirements in India
- Prepare monthly salary statements and process staff payments
- Handle renewal of insurance policies and group gratuity schemes
- Prepare financial statements including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements
- Perform net banking transactions and maintain proper documentation
- Liaise with Chartered Accountant for audits, compliance, and financial reporting
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience as an Accountant
- Experience in shipping, logistics, or a related service industry is preferred (not mandatory)
- Proficiency in Tally is essential
- Strong working knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance in India
- Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities efficiently
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong ethical standards, honesty, and integrity
- Professional approach with good organizational and communication skills
