About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager – Mechanical to lead the maintenance function of our API pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of production equipment and utility systems while maintaining compliance with GMP, safety, and engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Ensure maximum uptime of production equipment and utility systems.
- Lead a team of maintenance engineers, technicians, and contractors.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain reactors, centrifuges, ANFD, RVD, VTD, vacuum pumps, heat exchangers, piping systems, and other process equipment.
- Ensure proper maintenance of utilities such as boilers, chillers, cooling towers, HVAC, compressors, vacuum systems, and water systems.
- Maintain maintenance records, equipment history, and engineering documentation.
- Monitor spare parts inventory and maintenance budgets.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, EHS, and statutory requirements.
- Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, TPM, 5S, and equipment reliability programs.
Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory)
Experience
- 8–15 years of experience in API, pharmaceutical, or chemical manufacturing.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical process equipment and utility systems.
- Experience in preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Knowledge of GMP, cGMP, engineering documentation, and safety standards.
- Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with ERP/SAP/CMMS systems is preferred.
