Key Responsibilities:Cleaning & Hygiene:
- Clean and sanitize patient rooms, wards, OPD areas, ICUs, corridors, and offices
- Sweep, mop, dust, and disinfect floors, furniture, and surfaces
- Clean washrooms and ensure availability of soap, tissue, and water
- Follow hospital infection control protocols strictly
Waste Management:
- Segregate and dispose of biomedical waste as per guidelines
- Handle general and hazardous waste safely
- Ensure waste bins are cleaned and regularly emptied
Bed & Linen Maintenance:
- Change bed linens, pillow covers, and blankets
- Ensure clean linen is provided for patients
- Collect and send used linen for laundry
Support Duties:
- Assist in preparing rooms for new patient admissions
- Replenish cleaning supplies and inform supervisor when stock is low
- Support staff in maintaining overall cleanliness standards
Infection Control:
- Use appropriate cleaning chemicals and disinfectants
- Follow PPE (gloves, masks, etc.) guidelines
- Prevent cross-contamination while cleaning different areas
Equipment Handling:
- Properly use and maintain cleaning equipment (mops, vacuum, etc.)
- Report any damage or malfunction to the supervisor
Qualifications:
- Minimum: 8th / 10th Pass
- Basic understanding of cleanliness and hygiene
Experience:
- Fresher or 1–2 years of housekeeping experience (hospital preferred)
Skills Required:
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and hygiene standards
- Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols
- Physical stamina for continuous cleaning work
- Time management and attention to detail
- Good attitude and discipline
Working Conditions:
- Rotational shifts (including night duty)
