Position Overview
The Emergency Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the hospital’s emergency preparedness, disaster response, and business continuity programs. The role ensures that the organization is fully prepared to effectively respond to emergencies, disasters, and critical incidents while maintaining patient safety, operational resilience, and regulatory compliance.
Key ResponsibilitiesEmergency Preparedness & Disaster Management
- Develop, implement, and continuously enhance emergency preparedness, disaster recovery, and crisis management plans for the hospital.
- Design strategies to mitigate operational risks and ensure a coordinated response during emergencies, natural disasters, mass casualty incidents, and public health crises.
- Conduct comprehensive hazard vulnerability analyses and risk assessments to identify potential threats and their impact on hospital operations.
Training & Awareness
- Plan, organize, and facilitate emergency preparedness training programs, drills, and simulation exercises for clinical and non-clinical staff.
- Ensure employees, contractors, and volunteers are well-versed in emergency response protocols and safety procedures.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives and implement continuous improvement measures.
Incident Response & Coordination
- Lead and coordinate emergency response activities during critical incidents.
- Collaborate with government agencies, public safety officials, emergency medical services, law enforcement, and disaster management authorities.
- Support rescue operations, evacuation planning, resource mobilization, and incident command activities.
Communication & Reporting
- Establish and maintain reliable emergency communication systems and protocols.
- Facilitate timely dissemination of critical information to stakeholders during emergencies.
- Prepare incident reports, after-action reviews, and emergency response documentation to support performance evaluation and process improvement.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and emergency management requirements.
- Monitor adherence to hospital safety policies, emergency protocols, and regulatory guidelines.
- Participate in audits, inspections, and accreditation processes related to emergency preparedness.
Qualifications & Experience
- MBBS in Healthcare Administration, Emergency Management, Hospital Administration, Public Health, Nursing, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 6–8 years of experience in healthcare emergency management, disaster preparedness, hospital operations, or related areas.
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
