Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant for our FMCG business. The candidate will be responsible for handling daily accounting operations, maintaining financial records, monitoring stock-related accounts, managing billing and payment processes, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate should have strong accounting knowledge, good communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain daily accounting entries and financial records
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports
- Manage GST filing, TDS, and other statutory compliance
- Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts
- Monitor sales, purchase, and stock-related accounts
- Coordinate with billing, sales, and warehouse departments
- Verify invoices, purchase bills, and payment vouchers
- Maintain cash flow records and expense tracking
- Assist in payroll processing and employee reimbursements
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of accounts records
- Support management with financial analysis and reporting
- Handle vendor payment follow-ups and customer outstanding collections
- Maintain accuracy and confidentiality of financial data
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles
- Good knowledge of GST, TDS, and taxation
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (Tally/ERP)
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Malayalam Language is Mandatory
- Candidates from Kerala are More Preferable
- Team handling and coordination skills preferred
Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (B.Com) or related field
- Additional accounting certification is an advantage
Experience
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in accounting
- FMCG industry experience preferred
