About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Computer Applications/Computer Science Teacher to teach students in Classes XI and XII under the ISC (Indian School Certificate) curriculum. The ideal candidate will have strong programming fundamentals, up-to-date technical knowledge, and the ability to prepare students for CISCE board examinations, including practical and project components.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in Computer Applications/Computer Science in line with the ISC syllabus (Classes XI–XII)
- Teach core programming concepts using Java (as per CISCE requirements), along with data structures, databases (SQL), Boolean algebra, networking, and emerging technologies as applicable
- Conduct hands-on practical/lab sessions and guide students through coding exercises and problem-solving
- Develop lesson plans, worksheets, coding assignments, and assessments aligned with CISCE guidelines
- Prepare students for internal assessments, board practicals, and the mandatory project work as per CISCE specifications
- Evaluate and grade assignments, programs, tests, and examinations promptly and fairly
- Monitor individual student progress, debug/troubleshoot code with students, and provide constructive feedback
- Maintain and manage computer lab resources, software installations, and ensure a safe working environment
- Guide students in project development, documentation, and viva preparation as per CISCE norms
- Stay updated with CISCE curriculum changes, emerging technologies (AI, data science, cybersecurity basics, etc.), and pedagogical best practices
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, staff meetings, and school events
- Maintain accurate academic records, mark sheets, and attendance
- Mentor students interested in coding competitions, hackathons, or higher studies in computer science
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, IT, or related field M.C.A./M.Sc. Computer Science); a B.Ed. is mandatory (or as per school/state norms)
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience at the senior secondary level, preferably with ISC/CBSE boards
- Strong command over Java programming (core requirement for ISC Computer Science), along with knowledge of data structures, SQL, and computer fundamentals
- Familiarity with CISCE examination pattern, practical exam format, and project guidelines
- Hands-on experience with lab management and IDEs (e.g., BlueJ, Eclipse, NetBeans)
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience mentoring students for coding competitions, Olympiads, or hackathons
- Knowledge of Python, web development (HTML/CSS/JS), or other languages in addition to Java
- Awareness of emerging fields like AI/ML, data science, and cybersecurity to enrich classroom discussions
- Prior experience setting up or managing school computer labs

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
